Sue spent 24 years as the coordinator of the Southend Cats Protection branch and co founded Cat Squad in 2020 in the midst of the pandemic.
​Sue is joint group treasurer and Cat Squads microchip implanter, queen and kitten expert.

Denise is a trustee who has vast experience working in animal welfare. Denise also runs a rabbit rescue called Harley's Haven. Denise heads up the medical section of Cat Squad ensuring all cats are healthy and receiving the veterinary care they require.

​Lisa Staines BSc(Hons) RVN and a member of Cat Squad's trustee board, she is head of the sub committee and in ultimate charge of the fosterers, home checkers, rehoming officers, fundraising and PR.
Lisa has a degree in behaviour studies and is a veterinary nurse with over 18 years of experience. Dog trainer and behaviour consultant specialising in nervous and/or aggressive animals. Lisa takes on the complicated medical or behavioural cases and homes terminal cats. All Cat Squad team members believe all animals should feel the security of a loving home and die knowing that they are safe and loved.  Lisa ensures that no cat dies in a cage at a shelter.
Lisa hand raises and fosters kittens and nurses sickly kittens back to health. 

Kim has worked as a nursing assistant in most major vet practices and has over 18 years experience in animal care. Kim is currently studying for a veterinary nursing diploma. She is an experienced trapper and and assists with transporting cats within the London area of Cat Squads catchment. 
Heavily involved in rehoming, Kim is also a home checker and follows up any London based enquiries.

Mark is an ex Cats Protection volunteer and now volunteers for Cat Squad as their driver. He does the legwork including leaflet delivery (he used to be a postman), driving cats to and from vet appointments, stray cat collection, food deliveries and anything that needs transporting. He also does home checking and trapping.
Mark will give lifts to the vet for anybody without transport.

​Pat co-founded Cat Squad with Sue and is now chairman of the trustee committee and group treasurer. She stays behind the scenes doing the administration work. Pat developed the website and Facebook group, does the accounts, tax returns, group documentation and writes the policies and procedures. Pat managed the charity application process and now runs the charity administration 🥱.
